    Any thoughts or sharing (pro & con) of similar experiences with partnering with a service club like we are in the process of doing for 10 total hours two days this month?

    Both local TV stations did send down both a reporter & a camera person.  Kind of a new exciting way of connecting with families with children IMHO.  Below is one of the local TV station's coverage.   With this edit above that is the other's coverage:

    Pro;
    Added Exposure, Goodwill, Business alliances with service organizations and other businesses, TV coverage. Overall Good feeling.
    Cons;
    Added costs of utilities and services with free laundry. Loss of revenue. Extra prep time.
    Pros win over cons!
    Well done Michael.

    Michael:  Very nice.  We have a small church that provides pizza and laundry every 3 rd Monday of the month from 10 AM to 2 PM.  Most of our regular customers are aware and work around the schedule.  We also have a little free library with kids and chapter books for the customers to read and or take home.

    Les,  Thanks for the kudo.  I failed to mention that some closeby church members also volunteered a bit even though they were & are not Elks Members.  It sounds like your kids' friendly events are more frequent along with some others such as forum member Rebecca down Florida way (Corner Wash Club).
